What is the Concert Study?

The Concert Study is a late-stage clinical research study of 1050 patients to test the effects of Dimebon in patients with Alzheimer's disease, who are currently taking Aricept® (donepezil HCl tablets). The purpose of the Concert Study is to determine whether Dimebon safely improves cognition (thinking and awareness), memory, daily functioning, behavior, and the ability to care for oneself. The Concert Study will also look at how Dimebon affects the lives of people caring for patients who are taking the medicine.

Who can join the Concert Study?

People who can answer "yes" to the following questions may be able to join the Concert Study:

- Do you have Alzheimer's disease?

- Have you been taking Aricept for at least 6 months?

- Do you have a caregiver who can come with you to doctor appointments at the study site?

What is Dimebon?

Dimebon is an oral medication that is being tested as a potential treatment for Alzheimer's disease. Currently, 5 prescription drugs are approved in the United States to treat Alzheimer's disease. Dimebon works differently from these medications.
