About the Institute

The East-West Medical Research Institute (EWR) is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Institute is affiliated with the Diabetes and Hormone Center of the Pacific (DHCP), founded in 1990 to provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date diagnosis and treatment available for people with diabetes and other hormonal (endocrine) problems.

In addition, DHCP has actively conducted Phase II through Phase IV clinical research studies in the field of endocrinology. With its expansion to include clinical research in other medical specialty areas, the research component of DHCP is now known as East-West Medical Research Institute.

   
 

EWR's offices are centrally located in Honolulu in the Ala Moana Pacific Center with easy access and free parking at Ala Moana Center.

EWR is directed by David Fitz-Patrick, M.D. Dr. Fitz-Patrick is Board Certified in both internal medicine and diabetes/endocrinology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology.
